Terms of Use
These terms are an agreement between you and Montedia ("we", "us") for the Stash app, the Stash sync service, and stashstorage.pro (together, "Stash"). By using Stash you agree to them. If you're using Stash through Apple's App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where the two conflict, these terms control to the extent permitted.
1. Your account
You can use Stash on one device without an account. Syncing, sharing, and AI scans require signing in with Apple. You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your device secure. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your region).
2. Free plan and Stash Pro
The free plan includes one storage location you own, 10 AI scans per calendar month, and unlimited bins, items, labels, and membership in locations shared with you. Stash Pro is an auto-renewing subscription ($1.99/month or $14.99/year in the US; local prices vary) that removes those limits and adds premium features such as the premium AI model, Deep Scan, weight estimates, and location details. Pro supports Apple Family Sharing.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store policies.
- If a free trial or introductory offer is available, any unused portion is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- We may change prices or plan limits going forward; changes never apply to a period you've already paid for.
3. AI features
AI identification, weight estimates, Deep Scan attributes, and any future resale estimates are automated guesses. They can be incomplete or wrong, and you review every result before saving. Don't rely on them for insurance claims, legal declarations, shipping weights, or anything where an error would matter without checking yourself. Scans are metered per month; we may apply reasonable rate limits to keep the service fair and may change the underlying AI providers.
4. Your content
You own your photos and inventory data. You give us the limited license needed to store, sync, process (including sending scan photos to an AI provider), and display them to you and to the members of locations you share. You're responsible for having the right to photograph and share what you upload, and for whom you invite. Don't upload content that is illegal, infringes someone's rights, or depicts people without their consent.
5. Shared locations
Inviting someone gives them full Put/Get access to that location, including its photos and history. Owners can remove members; anyone can leave. Deleting your account transfers locations you own and still share to the next longest-standing member, and hard-deletes locations only you belong to. We aren't responsible for disputes between members about who took what — that's what the activity feed is for.
6. Acceptable use
Don't reverse engineer the service, scrape it, probe its security, use it to store content you have no right to, or automate scans at a volume intended to circumvent plan limits. We may suspend accounts that do.
7. Availability and changes
Stash works offline, but sync, sharing, and AI features depend on our servers and third-party providers, and may be interrupted. We may add, change, or retire features. If we ever discontinue the service we'll give at least 30 days' notice so you can export your data.
8. Termination
You can stop using Stash at any time and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Sections 3, 4, 9, 10, and 11 survive termination.
9. Disclaimers
Stash is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't warrant that inventories, weights, or AI results are accurate or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Montedia won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or property, arising from your use of Stash. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or US $20 if you paid nothing). Some jurisdictions don't allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Consumers in the EU/UK keep the protections of their local mandatory law.
12. Changes to these terms
We'll post updates here and, for material changes, notify you in the app. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the new terms.
